For Sophie
14–17 May 2027
01 / A note for you
This year, your birthday comes with a little more than candles.
Paris is waiting.
Three days to wander beautiful streets, linger over long lunches, discover places we have been saving for just the right trip — and celebrate properly.
Everything you need is here.
All you have to do is arrive.
The lovely essentials
02 / The weekend
A few plans to look forward to.
Plenty of room to get a little lost.

Sunday · 16 May
Monday, 17 May · A final breakfast, then home with stories.
03 / Places for the weekend
For long lunches, beautiful rooms and the pleasure of discovering somewhere new.
11th arrondissement
A classic Parisian bistro for an unhurried lunch, a handwritten menu and one more glass.
Place Vendôme · 1st
A small, storied bar at the Ritz. An intimate setting for a beautifully made birthday cocktail.
Jardin des Tuileries · 1st
Make room for Monet’s Water Lilies. A quiet moment with paintings that seem to surround you.
A considered selection of places to explore. Photographs evoke the city; venue details and availability may change.
04 / A little Paris magic
For the best morning
Walk beside the Seine before breakfast, while the city is still waking up.
For the photograph
Pont Alexandre III just before sunset.
For one thing not to rush
A café table when you have nowhere else to be.
05 / The practical details
The useful things, all in one place.
So you can stay in the moment.
From Charles de Gaulle or Orly, an official taxi is the simplest arrival. Follow the airport taxi signs and give the driver your hotel address. Allow extra time for city traffic.
Explore on foot when you can. Saint-Placide, on Métro line 4, is close to the hotel. Use Île-de-France Mobilités for current routes, tickets and service updates.
Think mild afternoons and cooler evenings, with the possibility of spring showers. This is seasonal guidance; check the forecast in the week before departure.
Comfortable walking shoes, light layers, a compact umbrella and something beautiful for Saturday dinner. A small day bag and a travel adapter will earn their place.
Hôtel des Grands Voyageurs 92 rue de Vaugirard 75006 Paris, France
Keep the hotel confirmation and museum tickets together. The birthday dinner is planned for Saturday at 8:00 PM; the restaurant and booking confirmation are still to be added.
For an emergency in France, call 112. For medical assistance call 15; police 17; fire 18. Keep your travel insurance details and hotel address saved on your phone.
